Choose toys that suit the child age, skills and interests. A toy made for an older child can be unsafe for a younger one.

Check before you buy
- Read the age label. The US CPSC advises using age recommendations as a guide.
- For children under three, avoid toys with small parts, which can cause choking.
- Look for sturdy construction, such as tightly secured eyes, noses and other parts.
- Avoid toys with sharp edges and points for children under eight.
- For children under six, avoid building sets with small magnets. If swallowed they can cause serious injury.
- Throw away plastic wrapping straight away and inspect toys regularly for breaks.
- Keep toys for older children away from younger siblings.

- ছয় বছরের কম শিশুর জন্য ছোট চুম্বকের বিল্ডিং সেট এড়ান। গিলে ফেললে গুরুতর ক্ষতি হতে পারে।
- প্লাস্টিকের মোড়ক সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ফেলে দিন এবং খেলনা নিয়মিত ভাঙা কি না দেখুন।
- বড় ভাইবোনের খেলনা ছোটদের নাগালের বাইরে রাখুন।
