Measure the space that will actually be used
Write down the inside width, depth and usable height of the shelf, drawer or cabinet. Measure around hinges, pipes and handles. For a drawer, check the opening and the space left when it is fully closed, not only the front dimensions.
Measure what goes inside
Check the tallest bottle, widest packet or longest utensil you plan to store. Leave room to lift items out and to open lids. If several organisers sit side by side, account for dividers and the room your hand needs to reach them.
Check the product details
- Compare the seller’s listed dimensions with your measurements.
- Look for internal dimensions when the outside size may not describe usable capacity.
- Check whether the product is fixed, stackable, foldable or removable for cleaning.
- For containers used with food, verify the exact manufacturer’s stated intended use and care instructions. Do not infer food-contact suitability from appearance alone.
- Review the return policy in case the fit differs from the listing.
Make a simple fit check
Use paper or a box cut to the listed footprint and place it in the intended space. This quick mock-up can reveal a blocked drawer, awkward handle or wasted corner before you order.

যে জায়গা ব্যবহার করবেন, সেটিই মাপুন
শেলফ, ড্রয়ার বা ক্যাবিনেটের ভেতরের প্রস্থ, গভীরতা ও ব্যবহারযোগ্য উচ্চতা লিখে নিন। hinge, pipe ও handle-এর জায়গা হিসাব করুন। ড্রয়ারের ক্ষেত্রে শুধু সামনের মাপ নয়, খোলা-বন্ধের পথ এবং পুরো বন্ধ অবস্থায় ভেতরের জায়গাও দেখুন।
ভেতরে যা রাখবেন, সেটিও মাপুন
সবচেয়ে উঁচু বোতল, চওড়া প্যাকেট বা লম্বা utensil মাপুন। জিনিস তুলতে ও ঢাকনা খুলতে ফাঁকা জায়গা রাখুন। পাশাপাশি কয়েকটি organizer রাখলে divider এবং হাত পৌঁছানোর জায়গাও ধরুন।
পণ্যের তথ্য যাচাই করুন
- বিক্রেতার দেওয়া মাপ আপনার মাপের সঙ্গে তুলনা করুন।
- বাইরের মাপ দিয়ে ভেতরের ব্যবহারযোগ্য জায়গা বোঝা না গেলে internal dimension দেখুন।
- পণ্যটি fixed, stackable, foldable নাকি পরিষ্কারের জন্য খুলে নেওয়া যায় জেনে নিন।
- খাবারের সংস্পর্শে ব্যবহার করা পাত্রের ক্ষেত্রে নির্দিষ্ট নির্মাতার intended use ও care instruction যাচাই করুন। শুধু দেখতে কেমন তার ভিত্তিতে food-contact উপযোগিতা ধরে নেবেন না।
- মাপ না মিললে ফেরত দেওয়ার নিয়ম দেখুন।
সহজে ফিট পরীক্ষা
তালিকাভুক্ত footprint অনুযায়ী কাগজ বা বাক্স কেটে নির্ধারিত জায়গায় রেখে দেখুন। অর্ডারের আগে ড্রয়ার আটকে যাওয়া, handle-এ বাধা বা কোণা নষ্ট হওয়ার সমস্যা ধরা পড়তে পারে।
